Compare an itemised scope rather than a headline price per window.
What changes the cost?
Size, opening style, glass specification, frame finish and the shape of the opening all influence price. So do survey requirements, access, repairs, trims, decoration and the installation location.
A small lift-out panel and a large acoustic hinged system are different products. Generic prices can be misleading without a shared specification, so this resource does not present an invented price list.
Ask for a complete scope
Request a window-by-window schedule showing dimensions, opening style, glass, frame finish, supply or installation, delivery and VAT treatment. Ask whether disposal, making good and decoration are included.
If the original windows need repair, list that separately. Confirm whether any planning drawings, consent applications or specialist surveys are included or must be arranged by you.
Compare performance fairly
Check the evidence behind acoustic and thermal claims. Confirm that the quoted glass and frame match the proposal, and that cleaning access and everyday opening have been considered.
Compare survey responsibility, lead time, payment stages and aftercare as well as price. A cheaper quote may omit work that another includes; a higher quote does not automatically prove better performance.
Before paying a deposit
Get the agreed scope in writing and read the terms, cancellation information and warranty. Check when manufacturing dimensions become final. Do not order on an assumption that permissions will be granted.
For a commercial enquiry, EcoShield can discuss a project-specific specification and quotation. You can also use the same checklist when approaching other suppliers.
